3 Methods of Getting Free Leads in Real Estate for Wholesalers.

free-leads-for-your-bizIf you are a new person in the real estate profession the number one issue you will ever face on a daily basis is……you have no deals to sell or buy or rehab. This is a huge problem for brand new people because they usually get into real estate thinking they will follow a system and learn on the fly, make a few mistakes and then eventually hit a pay day.

Nothing could be further from the truth, If you were to buy a real estate course or sit through a Guru’s presentation, chances are you will learn “Their Way” of building a real estate business. The problem with that approach is simple, Not Everyone Learns The Same” most will fail within a few weeks and the rest will fall off in about a year. Very few people make a living from real estate because they fail time and time again when it comes to creating business for themselves.free-mlm-leads-600x315

I have personally met success stories from real estate guru’s programs, “They can work” but the percentage is somewhere close to only 3% of people who register or sign up for a guru’s course actually make money so the odds are stacked against you from day one, so how do you break through and become one of those 3% people who make it?

I watched a Tony Robbins seminar recently and he said he talks in front of millions of people a year and he only gets about 2% of them to become successful, he said on stage that his business model of teaching operates at a 98% failure rate with most because people can’t adapt to change fast enough and they don’t put in the time to get better or smarter and that leaves the majority of them with no results and bitterness in life. Its not Tony’s fault, its the fault of the new person who wants success and they do not become a student of THE GAME.

16481d1The Game I am talking about is the game of life folks, you wanna get good at real estate? you want an unfair advantage above other real estate professionals? then you need to dedicate yourself to the journey of knowledge and gaining connections for your business plain and simple. I want to talk about getting free leads today real quick in this blog and some ways that I have done this over and over.

If you follow a guru right now, chances are you are told to do postcard mailers, websites, landing pages, and all the other stuff you hear about when you are new. Well there is a lot more to it than that folks, most of the real estate pro’s who make millions have the best people around them and a system to track progress and where they are lacking each month. It also takes a lot of unbroken focus to keep a real estate business moving and most can’t handle that pressure.

As a newbie real estate person who is trying to Wholesale properties you need at least 10 or more forms of marketing every day working on your behalf. What I am about to tell you is not ground breaking, its not a secret, its not anything you couldn’t come up with on your own, but because you do not get exposure to these ideas from most guru’s, I’ll take the time to show you some Free Methods of getting leads. Get your mind right, and focus because some of these ideas involve you getting out of the house and talking to people….Here we go!lol-big3-121011_lead_media_image_1

1). Absentee Owners: Stop Buying Lists Online,talk to your local title companies, they have access to every name in your county and if you have no idea how to ask for that, I will leave a video link below so you can hear how I ask for Free Absentee Leads.

2). Go to Open Houses: pass out your card, let agents and brokers know that you are a buyer, but not a retail buyer. You could be a backup person for one of their deals that falls through (it happens).

3). Door Knocking: Yup the scary one! when I see a realtor sign in a yard, I stop and I go knock on the door and why do I do that? I want to know if they like their agent, if they are in a hurry to sell, or if they know of someone else who is also looking to sell? you see folks I’m nosey, I have to be and so do you! you need to know other people’s business in order to get new business and here is what I mean. I knock on a person’s door, I tell them I am a cash buyer and I wanted to know what the home owners were selling their house for (price) when they asked me why? I say well I’m looking to buy some properties right now and I noticed you were for sale “Oh by the way Hi!”…my name is Michael here is my card real quick (they will take it) when they tell you their listing price simply say “well that’s a bit too high for me” but I would consider talking to you about buying it later on down the road if the price changes at all.

The last one is scary for a lot of people, but I live by the words of “Be First” I can’t tell you how many times I was able to lock down deals just because I showed up to someone’s home and was very approachable meaning, I was not high Free-Network-Marketing-Leads-300x163pressure, I was an innocent guy just asking about price and reasons as to why they are selling right now.

I set a mark to visit 10 homes a day with signs in their yard, notice I didn’t say (I’ll try to hit as many homes as I can)…..No that’s not good enough, I do not try, I go out and I do it because I know most will not and that is why I do not have to freak out about leads ever! Most of you who are new have recently spent money on yellow letters and you may have even done 1000 for your first batch and then you get nothing, hardly any calls, and certainly no deals so what happens after that? you jump on a Facebook forum and ask if that is normal or if you are doing something wrong well the answer is No! you are not doing anything wrong, the problem you face is that you are not doing enough, not even close! I know people who have mailed 15k yellow letters in a month and got zero deals from it, now if that doesn’t scare the crap out of you I don’t know what would.

How do you get past the pain and suffering of spending tons of money on marketing that still doesn’t bring you enough leads? you get past it by learning more free methods and not just hearing about these methods, but actually seeing how they get done or how you have to say things a certain way to get your message across to the home owner.mlm-leads-300x177

Being a Mentor Means “Let’s Get Personal & Then Let’s Get To Work”

I work in many realms in life and one of them is Real Estate. I have seen so many people come and go in the industry because they were lured into the this profession by money, cars, houses, vacations, and other things that show “status” in this country.

I have been that new guy before in many things. I was in Amway back in 1999, I joined that network marketing business model so that I could learn how to sell better, talk to people better, and gain confidence in my efforts by having a mentor holding me accountable and I give a ton of credit to the Amway Corporation for the development of my skills that I have with me today.

I noticed that after a full year, more than half of my group was not active anymore. I realized that all of them only wanted Money in life and because of that reason alone…..they failed!

Money desires can only take you so far in any business, there has to be more to your story than just wanting boat loads of cash in your life. I have seen way too many people in this lifetime work and work and work, then only to quit on themselves only because their drive, their passion was drained out of them because their “WHY” wasn’t important enough to continue on through the hard times you go through when you are developing into the 2.0 Version of yourself which will create this new income and life for you, but it will take time and you will take your hits over and over but when you are “Sold Out” on your dreams, then nothing stops you except death, you burn out because of money alone!

I will tell you all this about me personally. I work my ass off 7 days a week to make really good income and why? because I want to provide for my family first off, the next reason would be because I want to buy back even more of my free time in life and not get-to-workwaste it at a job that I hate. I do work a ton of hours in my business but that is all by choice, I don’t burn out ever because my reasons keep me going even when I have a really awful day and I make no money or not even book one single appointment….it Happens to me too!

My single biggest reason for wanting to make a ton of money is that I want to use my time to help others and mentor people. I had a mentor at the age of 20, I know what its like to have someone in your life for the first time believe in you and your dreams and then offer to help you go and get them accomplished….thats powerful folks! If you have ever had a mentor who pushed you to your limits, stretched you mentally so that you can become better at what it is you are trying to be good at, then and only then will you understand what it feels like to have someone give you a real chance.

Having a mentor can be the difference for you if you are at a Mentor-Icon meaning that you don’t know if you want to be this or that in life, you are at a crossroads and many times the accountability set up by a mentor can be all the difference you need to make the changes that end up being the reason why you see any progress for yourself.——————>

Most Real Estate Guru’s will teach basics to new people or followers of their system, they teach you stuff you can learn for free on Youtube (I’m Not Kidding) and then if you want more training, Elite level stuff well then you will have to buy their program and once you get it, its mostly self teaching practice anyway, you will have lessons to watch or read and then you are expected to go out and “Just do it”! what are you NIKE all of the sudden? most people just can’t go out and “Just Do It” and your guru’s knows this and they expect you to fail so that you can keep coming back paying a monthly fee for their infinite wisdom. I myself like to talk to people directly especially if they are brand spankin new to the real estate world. I never forgot what it was like being new in real estate, not having a clue what to do or say or how to be more productive and smarter in my business, that all comes in time but what if you had someone who could shorten the learning curve for you and help you limit the mistakes you will make in your business? That is what Meet The Mentor is all about.

When I teach someone a technique I use or a sales pitch I have tried, well then I want feedback! I want to know if it worked or if it bombed and if it bombed let’s find out why and maybe work on what you are saying, or how you are saying it. For me watching people get out of their comfort zone gets me pumped up, seeing someone’s eyes light up because you just told them something that made them want to go out and take action when just a few hours ago they were doing nothing and planned on doing nothing until they ran into you and your words, that is my why.

I work hard to have a normal life just like all of you do, but at the end of the day I am the most happy when I have the following in my life. My girlfriend Jacqueline, all my cats, some taco’s, and a super cold Dr. Pepper fountain drink and maybe some chocolate and peanut butter candies of some kind, but no matter if I make $5k in a month or $20K in a month, I always stay the same in my mind, I stay very quite and humble in my victories and I always stay focused on what matters and money is just about as important as air is to me but giving back, helping people, giving someone a boost in life is what I feel I was meant to really do. Be First And Your Luck Will Change in Your Business.

One of the motto’s I live by in the real estate business is “Be First” I say this because many times in my real estate career I was able to lock down deals only because I was the first person in the door so to speak but for me many times this is getting done over the phone.everyaccomplishmentstartswiththedecisiontotryw640

As I type up this blog at my desk it is 12:52 in the afternoon on Sunday July 12th. I just got some taco’s from Taco Bell and a Dr. Pepper. I got home and I called back some numbers I wanted to follow up on and Boom! I locked up another deal over the phone. The conversation from start to finish lasted 38 minutes total. The lady who is selling the house talked my ear off about her family problems and how this one son they have spends money, and uses their dad’s credit cards and maxed them all out, and now the dad is in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s.

I listened to this lady literally “Go Off” about how badly the kids took advantage of their father, she then tells me that they are her step kids and not her own and they are little thieves and just greedy. This is not your typical “Hey Can I Buy Your House” type of call, but I will sit and listen to her because she’s trusting me with this info, she’s pouring out her concerns, and fears, and basically answering a ton of questions for me that I needed answered so she saved both of us a ton of time.5eaymlx4fbbgdpfdhx5p

If you want to “Be First” and be good at it, then you need to really relate to people and have the very best listening skills and speaking ability and here is why I say that. When I call someone on the phone, I expect them to like me and like my wit, and my attention to detail and my ability to just “Roll With It” meaning……If a seller tells me a dirty joke on the phone well damn it, I’m telling a better one back at him.

One of the best skills that I have that my mentor Glen taught me was to mirror someone, but how do you do that on the phone when you can’t see them? You Listen!…Listen to their voice and the tone they use, are the down and sad, or are they up beat and alert? I literally pick apart every person I call on the phone, I study how well people try to get away with things, or how well they try to lie about their home and I know the truth is just the opposite and believe me folks, I have had a ton of practice and people are full of crap many times especially when money and emotions are are combined.

The seller will freak out over money, get emotional and then start making things up to get me to buy into their little plan….it never works. You see when you are First, you have to come in with a purpose. I let the seller know right away what I am there for, and what I want to do. I’m “Hi my name is Michael and I am calling to ask if your home at 1417 E Jefferson St is for sale, if it is I would like to ask you if you have sold it already or if it is still available?images

That right there folks is my “Be First” phone pitch to sellers. It takes me about 5 seconds to get the words out and much like today, and 38 minutes later, that was all the talking I needed to do to figure out “This is a Motivated Seller For Sure“. I want all of you to know that none of that would have even happened unless I chose to “Be First” to contact that lady today. I expect to have things not go well many times especially over the phone but when days like today happen, it makes all the preparation I have done over the years all worth it. I trained my butt off learning phone skills, and people skills, learning how to adapt to each individual home owner on a personal level because I could somehow relate to their story and step back for a minute just so I can see how they are feeling right now in their life.

When I hear from home owners about how a person died and now they have that persons home in their possession and they don’t know what to do, but they know they can’t keep it so selling it makes sense. It took me a while folks, but I got really good at not caring about the money I could possibly make from that particular deal, but instead I always tell myself “Be First” and be the best person that the seller needs right now at this very moment.

I believe that once people start getting in the habit of always learning, always reading, and always making progress to have the right mindset to get better that they will see changes in their business and personal life for the better. If you take on that mindset of “Be First” you will have access to so many more opportunities for your business than you can imagine….”Be First Always

Have You Ever Seen How Good You Can Become?

Have you ever been to a seminar and your favorite teacher, speaker is on stage and your just soaking up everything they say? You sit with your eyes and ears wide open taking in golden nuggets of information that will help you become better at what you want to do and you believe in your heart that this person and their words are going to be the ticket you need to financial freedom.

Quick question, why did you choose that teacher or speaker? is it their approach? the way they speak? or is it simply the content and the message they put out combined a little with how they deliver it?

I want to ask you all who is your favorite “Go-To” person for financial education and life lessons? somewhere in life you came into contact with this person material and you gravitated towards it for a reason. I ask these questions because I have had several people who I looked up to in the business world and most of them I have met in person.

When I met Rich Devos at Amway World Headquarters, it was winter of 1999 and my mentor Glen had me going on stage for the first time to speak in front of people because I achieved a new level in the business and it deserved some recognition. Once I was done with my speech and I received a new pin award to put on my suit jacket, I was walked to the back of the room where I met Amways Co-Founder, first off I have to say I never met a Billionaire before and when I shook his hand it was super soft, like a babies hand, and the first thing I thought of was….he hasn’t had to work his ass off in a labor job for probably 50 years now!

I Spoke on stage At Amway World Headquarters in 2001. Straight Past the Receptionist Desk through the double wooden doors is where it all went down.

I shook Rich Devos‘ hand and the entire time I was standing with him, I was in awe, not because he had money or fame, but because he was interested in my story, he said the most important people in any business anywhere is the brand new person who started just today, if you always remember that, then being humble will come easy for you after you make it.I was very well groomed in the business world by my mentor Glen, and when Rich was talking to me like “One of the Boys” I felt so powerful and unstoppable. His energy and his presence alone was intoxicating, I wanted to be just like that guy, rich, powerful, but, never forgot where I came from, and I never stop helping people no matter how much wealth I can create. I saw for the first time the finished product. I saw what it would look like when I reach my goals, I could see it more real now than ever and I changed my mindset that very day.

Having dreams in life is not corny or weird, I believe we need dreams we need to growth, we have to always be reaching for something new to explore or conquer and if we aren’t, then what are we doing? just getting by like most people do and why do they allow this to happen? because they never took the time to see how good they can become.

I saw face to face what I wanted my life to look like in the real world, everyone in that room admired Rich Devos and spoke of him like he changed their lives forever….I wanted that, I wanted to be the guy who went through shit in life, came out on top, and then gave back because its the right thing to do. I know what my best efforts look like each day, I also know what things can try to get in my way and distract me and because i never developed bad habits when I first started out, I was able to have more breakthroughs than most people in network marketing simply because I stayed focused longer and did my homework each day.

I’ll never forget how it felt being next to a guy like Rich Devos, and I now look back on that day and I wonder…..What are you folks doing everyday to ensure that you end up like your favorite teacher or speaker? As I write this today I really follow two main guys for core stuff, I have several people I listen to weekly and so on but my two favorites are Grant Cardone and Anthony Robbins. When I was younger my favorites were Donald Trump, and Zig Zigler. I have bounced around from person to person mainly because as I progress in my life I feel I need to get better at other things along the way and each one of these people has amazing information to offer so I can’t go wrong with any of them really.

I know you all know what I mean when I say that you feel this energy or special vibe around someone you admire and really look up to. Can you imagine what that feels like to have someone out there feel that way about you? Would you like that? Do you work hard and set a good example so if a hidden camera was recording you, your followers could see you at your best? what are you like when you have the whole day to do whatever you want? are your days planned in advance” or do maxresdefaultyou just try to make stuff happen each day from scratch?

When I feel like crap and I am not 100% when I get up, I get a Dr. Pepper and I sit at my desk, I will watch videos of Grant Cardone or Tony Robbins and I will find a way to get out of my funk, I’m human, I feel shitty some days, but I never let it stop me from kicking ass in my day and setting an example for later on when I do more things with this mentorship program.tony-robbins

I believe in walking the walk, I like to teach and pass on what I have tried and whether it worked or not I will tell you all the truth, and if you are better than me at something, I would like to hear from you and hear what you have to teach. Meet The Mentor is designed to being people together who are like minded in the sense that we all want success in our business and personal lives, we all have challenges to get over everyday, and we all have to learn to stay humble when we do hit it big financially from time to time, for me being in Real Estate as a business I try to do things that will allow me to make money every single month, if I have a profit ahead of my expenses after 30 days, I’m a happy guy.

I challenge you all to be your best even when you know that your not feeling like it. I know it sucks some days to even get motivated, or to talk to people, but I will pass onto you something my mentor Glen said to me and I will never forget what he said and here it is….11428659_863321907084289_1794777214_n

“When you decide in life that you want to be different and you stop caring about what others think, from that day on until you die you will have to deal with more crap than anyone else you know. Your family and friends could very well turn their backs on you someday and you have to prepare for that. If you want this thing called success, then you will have to pay the price mentally and most likely financially. I want you to realize that you asked for this, you wanna make a ton of money and have a nicer life? then you will have to become a student for life and never stop reaching for your potential because the day you stop growing is the day you decided to die without your body knowing it yet”.

Glen told me that entire paragraph on September 1st, 1999. I will never forget it because that was the first day ever in my life that someone told me I could be great and I had so much untapped potential, once I had someone who believed I could do it, I was a beast from that day on, maybe some of you need a cheering section to get going sometimes, Use your favorite speakers as your fuel, remember if you want to be like those people, then learn how their day goes, how busy are they really during the course of a day? Study your favorites, know everything about them and how they got to where they are.

I hope all of you reading this can relate to what it feels like to be around someone who you admire and want to be like. Its a very real thing to feel that energy from someone and its very cool when you can have that effect on other people. I hope you all become your very best in life and I hope you inspire others to want to be just like you someday because of your efforts right now.

Are You Killing It With Investor Carrot?

I want to talk about writing blogs for a minute. I started my Meet The Mentor​ Blog 2 weeks ago today, and since I started it, I have received 433 views from 267 different viewers on my blog so far and have added some new followers as well….not bad for 2 weeks time.13

The day I started posting blogs was exciting, I am always expecting trolls on my blogs especially when I talk about the habits you need to have in order to get ahead in life. Most people don’t realize that putting in your time everyday, working smarter than the next person is how you get ahead.

You can have systems in place that run your business, gather your leads, outsource stuff, but in the end YOU still have to be running the show and to make things work you need to be on your game and most people I see in real estate especially right now are really REACHING for leads.

Idownloadnstead of taking time to write a blog or post a youtube video which is free, most people are choosing to do what everyone else does when they are brand new which is Yellow Letters, Postcards, Bandit Signs, and Buying Lead Lists over and over.

Ever since I started my Meet The Mentor Blog it has driven traffic to my Linkedin Page, My Website, and my Youtube Channel. I have now started putting more material out for my real estate business and I can tell you all this much, take your time writing your blogs, be personal. I see a ton of new people are jumping all over Investor Carrot right now and I just sat here at my desk reading 6 blogs that look exactly the same, the only difference was the name of the company and some pics, but basically is was a carbon copy of the other ones I read.

I’m not a prick, but if I wanted to be “That Guy” I could very easily say Investor Carrot blogs are made by Investor Carrot the company and they are not written by the person themselves, its a template system and it takes only a few clicks and you have a new blog sent out. Folks I was in Amway, I had people come up to me telling me that I was being scammed and I was this or that, I can see the same thing happening to Investor Carrot. Here is my example and maybe some of you can chime in on this and offer some insight as well.keep-calm-cause-haters-gonna-hate-5

Let’s say I sign up for Investor Carrot, I like it, it gets me leads, I do well with it but, after a while things aren’t working out anymore, there are now more of the same kind of SEO blogs just like mine now in my area and its getting crowded in the Blog & Website world. Let’s say I get mad and quit real estate and then I go off on a tangent and tell the world that Investor Carrot sites are bought by lazy people who only want a quick SEO blog to go out with their name on it so they can go do other things and focus on making money Vs taking time to write a blog themselves from the heart. Its a cut and paste operation and thousands are doing it. If I was a seller and being the analytical type, I would look into something like this and I would ask “So you like Investor Carrot huh”…Nice blog on fast cash offers, just like this guy said and this guy said and this lady over here, so what makes you any different than the cut and paste artists out there Mr/Mrs so called we buy houses person?…..I’m not saying this could happen, but much like everything else we get excited about eventually it gets replaced by something newer and way more cool.

I understandeffective-blog-posts-sign the idea of marketing and the idea is to just get it out there and get attention on your business, but its a bit more than that I think, you need to not do what everyone else is doing, how do you stand out? if I grabbed 30 of us from a real estate forum and we went around the room and I asked you “What are you doing for marketing right now” most of you would only have 4-5 things for an answer and out of those 4-5 things none of them make you stand out. Most of you have the same postcards, then you have bandit signs but in the end some of you are doing that and much more and you are still not getting leads and why? you don’t stand out and get anyone’s attention, you are a twin to a bunch of other people and you go about your business the exact same way expecting to just push through and eventually “Make itIt Works If You Work!

Now I am not a prick like that when I mentioned attacking Investor Carrot because I like the product and think it works as long as you put it to use everyday, but from my experiences in network marketing I have seen people out there in the world who just seek out people to cut them down or just go after companies with a Vengence because they feel that they were not given the success the product said it could deliver. I do not use Investor Carrot for my blogs however I do feel that they do a great job for what it is and that is simply a lead generating method to add to your pile of other ones. I know people who do pretty well with their Investor Carrot blogs and websites but my question to you is “Are you seeing results” If you are not seeing great results is it because you do not stay current daily with putting material out? or is it that you are very much the same as everyone else out there competing for a spot in the market place? How do you and your Website and Blogs stand out?

I do not claim to be the best blog writer, and I do not expect to win any awards for my writing either, but I have noticed that when I do write a blog and send it out to the masses, I get a response every time mainly because of what is written, its not the pictures or the color scheme that people seem to like, they seem to like the message that is in the blog itself and I feel that they connect with the words much better because it came from me and not a pre set up template.

I know Investor Carrot works, but how long will it be before its no longer the newest and coolest thing anymore? Its pretty sweet right now, but so was a lot of different things that were once considered game changers.

Success in Business is Like Playing A Video Game.

Have you ever played a video game or one of those app games on Facebook? or even just a quick game on your phone? how many of you have played a game where it becomes fun and you start liking it more and then all of the sudden your stuck, your on a level that you just can’t seem to get past, so you keep trying and trying and then eventually you start to get mad, you say things like “Stupid Game” or “Oh That’s Bullshit”, you just hit the target you are supposed to and it still 6a00d8341bf7f753ef00e54f1830528833-800wididn’t give you your points…..I know I’ve been there!

Whether you have thrown a controller once or twice in your life, or you just simply don’t care if you beat a game or not, realize that video game mindset is very similar to the mindset you need to have to make strides in business, I will now attempt to explain this crazy blog title.

There are two kinds of people in this world who play games, the Casual Gamer who likes to play for fun and pokes around on a specific game every once and a while, but will spend time on a certain game if its entertaining enough. Then you have the Hardcore Gamer, these people play tons of games all the time, and are very competitive and they like to win, solve puzzles, finish games, and see how the stories end….they want to beat the game at all costs.

Now whether you are a Casual or Hardcore gamer it doesn’t matter because we can all relate to a time where we played a game, then got stuck on a level, and after we were able to “Level Up” our player, then we were able to get past the problem level and then move onto the next one which feeds the curiosity in the brain even more and that is why most people love to play games. Most people know that if they stay at it long enough, if they can just hang in there a bit longer and then “Level Up” then they know moving on past the current obstacle they face right now will be much easier because they gained some type of advantage.

images (1)In video games when you level up you either gain some power for a little while, or you gain an advantage of some kind or a skill that allows you to go further in the game much easier, but no matter what the ability is that you gain by leveling up, your mindset and your goal is to become so good or so fast, or so strong to finally get past a part of a game where you have been stuck for a long time and then once you get past that part “Finally” you feel relief, and you are now happy that you “Finally Made it” and then what happens? you get excited to do it all over again because now you are on to the next level which you now get to see all because you never quit, and you knew that over time you would finally figure it out and when you did a new challenge awaits for you.

This mentality is very much like the personal growth mentality you need to go through as a business person. If you are self employed then you should know that your education, your personal growth, your commitment to getting better is always a constant. Once you decide to work for yourself, and be self dependent for income, then it only makes sense to become the “Next Level” of yourself.

We’ve all have had that game we have played where we were stuck at a spot and couldn’t get enough points to get past it, or whatever the object was at the time, we simply couldn’t win, we say things like “It’s impossible” or “This is too Hard”, but we keep going, we feel that a stupid game is beneath us, we can defeat this game because C’mon….its a game, the object is to let me win eventually right?….Wrong!, only if I prepare myself to win should I expect a different outcome.

Much like a video game, if you don’t know how to play it, or take the time to learn the in’s and out’s of what it takes to be good at that particular game, then chances are you will always be terrible at it, you’ll say it’s a crappy game or that its stupid, and then what? you’ll run off to find another game, maybe an easier game to go and play because this last one….yeah the levels were just too hard and instead of being a student of that game, you chose to forfeit only because you were challenged too many times. 3583.CJBr_GamerTAG_True Gamer.jpg-610x0Become a True Gamer in life, become a student of your game whether its car sales, real estate sales, or network marketing sales or whatever, become a true gamer to your craft and better results should be expected.

I don’t know if you knew this about me ladies and gentlemen but I am a CEO/Founder/Broadcaster on Twitch TV. My Channels name is called “Competition Sports” and that is a video game channel that will be much like ESPN once it is all said and done, I only mention this because I am a Hardcore Video Game player, I have been all my life, and I have had times where I played a new game, got excited to play it and then I ran into problems with it and thought…..It was way to freakin hard!

Level_Up

I would throw controllers when I was a kid (I admit it) and then I would be angry because I now have to spend money on a new one and they are not cheap anymore, but I would do that, blow off some steam, and then a few days later I would go back to that stupid game I can’t beat and I would try again because I know I am good when I get my timing down, or my practice in, I can figure things out, I’m crafty, quick, and a veteran of game playing so I say to myself “I Got This” and I go back to work on a boss character I haven’t been able to defeat or I march forward once again on a level that I haven’t been able to figure out how to get past for days.

The lesson here today is this, in a video game you get do overs, you get to restart, or even get a cheat code to help you finally win the day, but in real life, you don’t have time to waste to start a business or go into sales for yourself and then try to win in that game and then hit a road block and much like video game mentality, it becomes a very easy habit to want to walk away from the problems you face and just tell yourself that you can come back to them later in a few days after you have some time to just think.

If you tell yourself that, and you develop the habit of being really good at not staying on track, it will be very difficult for you to see any real long term results in your business. If your goal is to make a lot of money over the next few years and set up some assets for yourself, then you need to not hit the reset button on your work ethic every couple days, stay on track, stay focused, and remember the more you stay plugged into information that will help you grow and make time for self help teachings because you can always expect to “Level Up” when you stick with your commitment to growth and because of that you become better and you will be able to do even more amazing things down the road than what you ever thought possible.level-up

The Best Time To Make Money in Real Estate is Now!….Yes or No?

On September 15, 2008 Lehman Brothers filed Chapter 11 protection. The housing market was a mess, and the economy was the worst it had ever been since The Great Depression. In one day a bank with roughly $600 Billion in assets changed people’s lives forever.lehman-brothers-collapse

It was at this time in history when fear was at an all time high, most people worried about how they would get by, could they find a job? could they ever really retire? for most people this was a time where they cut back on things, live on a tight budget, only spend money on the important things, and because of that approach they stay in the Mindset of Fear and having that Mindset is going to prevent you from making money “Right Now”.

If you went to a real estate seminar during this time, your fear would have been erased. Guru’s all over the country were telling everyone in attendance that “This is the greatest time in history”, the economy is in bad shape so how could they say that? business-financial-disaster-bad-economy-headlines-10913302

When the housing market crashed, it opened up a ton of opportunity for investors to make a ton of cash and fast. People were foreclosing left and right, most people who had equity lost it all and just wanted out of their house so it was a very good time to make money flipping houses to cash buyers back then. Anytime there is crisis and downfall, there is opportunity to be taken, if you know how to look correctly.

Shortly after the crash we started to see record turn around in the market. Hedge Funds and Private Groups were buying up inventory like crazy and this drove up prices rather quickly, on top of that we have record low interest rates and new lending laws in place to increase confidence in people that the market is now strong again and now is the time to take action.

If a Real Estate Guru is telling you that the best time ever to make money is when the market crashes, what will they say when the market is strong? They will say the exact same thing. If the real estate market is good or bad it doesn’t matter to an investor and here’s why. If the market crashes it means they can buy homes much cheaper now. image6674870

When the market is rising and doing well, then those investors can buy up properties and hold them as rentals, then if they want as the market rises more and more, they can sell the property at a much higher price than they bought it for making them a quick cash profit. If you know a lot about real estate investing or wholesaling then you understand what you need to do in order to make money in a bad market or a great market because you can do both and thrive during both cycles, its called being Savvy!

I titled this Blog “The Best Time To Make Money is Now” because that is the mindset that you have to take on, the really successful people who I know and work with in my circle of influence have this type of Mindset no matter what day it is or what’s going on in the world. If the news is telling you bad stuff is going on, or if we go to war with another country, or even if the market crashes tomorrow and people are freaking out, these people make the most out of every single situation they are put up against and they make money NOW, Vs them thinking that they have to save a bunch of money up first before they get going, or they have to wait for conditions to improve before they take action.

prosperityIf you have dreams in life that matter to you, there is no better time to make money than right now for yourself. The education is out there practically for free and if you apply yourself 100% to your craft then you will gain new knowledge and skills that will allow you access to a better path in life. If you are like me and your mission in life is to leave a Legacy, then you never find an excuse EVER! to take time away from your real estate studies, or take time away from making contacts to sellers all day, or take time away from branching out your business with new marketing methods. “Make things happen through massive action” and that right there folks is how you really make money in Real Estate, you have to work for it everyday and now you know that it doesn’t matter if the market is great or if it is falling apart.
